British New wave, Dance, Electronic Pop and Synthpop Artist Anjelicas Baby

Paul Leishman song writer/producer has been involved with music since the age of 15 since the loss of his sight in 1984. He has worked either playing live, playing as a session musician on dance tracks or remixing tracks in local recording studios and collaborating with singers and producing several bands.

In the 90’s he was featured on the Future Music Magazine CD as an unsigned band for his own music with the band The Queen’s English, an electronic pop band. He also remixed for Guru Josh of Infinity fame at his studio in London and played keyboards on a remix of Kandy Statons’ Young Hearts for Almighty Records at Blue Chip Studios in Stafford. Also, he has spent time writing and producing songs for Shahin Badar the Asian singer who sang the vocals on the Prodigy’s track “Smack My Bitch Up”.

Most of the music he has been involved in has been incidental soundtrack music, dance, new wave, electronic pop, synthpop or rock music. More recently, he has been working with an independent record company named In4rm Records who have a distribution deal with the main distributor of digitally based independent music, The Orchard, based in the US. He has an EP out called Wired by Liteform with two other artists, which is in the underground dance Genre. It is currently available on most of the download sites to be purchased such as MSN Music, Amazon.com and iTunes etc. He is getting airplay on the Internet on The Pod Safe Music Network, last.fm and Itunes for many of his other productions as well such as Electratechna and Anjelicas Baby. He has also written music for plays notably The Mystery Plays performed at Lichfield Cathedral, Staffordshire, United Kingdom in July 2009.

Roland VG-99 Demo Track by Paul Leishman of New Wave Artist Anjelicas Baby

Hi Paul Leishman from British new wave, dance, electronic pop and synthpop music artist Anjelicas Baby here. Just been experimenting with my Roland VG-99 guitar modelling processor in cubase. Here is a short demo piece entitled Sci-Fi Synth. All guitar and synth sounds are off the Roland VG-99 guitar modelling processor with the exception of the drums. I used a Jackson Performer PS4 guitar and a Roland GK3 pickup for anyone interested.

Here is a piece entitled “after The Bomb” as part of a play by Stuart Goodwin performed at TCAT Telford College of Arts and Technology, Shropshire, UK. Hi, Paul Leishman from British new wave, dance, electronic pop and synthpop artist Anjelicas Baby. Here is a short piece of incidental music on youtube I wrote using softsynths for Stuart Goodwin, a director of a summer school play entitled Egypt which was performed at TCAT Telford College of Arts and Technology in 2008. Softsynths (VST plugins) used were Steinberg Hypersonic, Vanguard, Native Instruments FM7, Linplug Albino and Korg Legacy Cell. O, and the odd strange person.

Youtube Video Burial Scene from the Lichfield Mystery Plays 2009

Hi, Paul Leishman from British new wave, dance, electronic synthpop and pop music artist Anjelicas Baby here. Short youtube video extract from the burial scene from the mystery plays filmed at Lichfield Cathedral The piece of music, entitled Burial, is an original piece of work and was written by me for Stuart Goodwin who directed one of the mystery plays performed at Lichfield Cathedral, Staffordshire, England on July the 4th and 5th 2009. This performance was unusual in that the part of Jesus was played fabulously by a female actress Jo Hodgkiss, adding to the pathos of the play and the impact of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
